Silver leaf	Argentum	1 oz.
Bezoar	Bezoar	1 1⁄2 oz.
Powder of Crabs	Cancer

Preparation:

Function:

Clears Heat and Toxin, opens Obstructions, resolves Tumors

Use:

1. Cancer
2. Obstinate Tumors

Dose:

1 scruple up to 2 scruples, twice daily. It may be mixed into a paste and applied topically also (traditionally with Scordium water, but Black Nightshade water or other appropriate waters may be used).

Cautions:

None noted

Modifications:

‘Of rare vertue, to resist the malignity of a Cancer; either to be inwardly taken, or else outwardly to be applied, being ground into the form of a liniment with Scordium water’.

This would probably be one of the most expensive formulas ever written. However, Gold has been reckoned as effective as Mercury as an alterative, and is still used in some conditions such as chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis. Crab has long been used for Cancer.
