Consolida


Consolida is derived from the Latin consolidare meaning ‘together make solid’.
There are several types of Consolida. They are Vulnerary or ‘Wounds herbs’.

Botanical name:

  Consolida Major: Comfrey
  Consolida Media: Bugle
  Consolida Minor: Daisy
  Consolida Regalis or Consilda Saracenica: Golden Rod

Parts used:

Herbs; Root

Temperature & Taste:

generally Temperate or slightly Cool, dry.

Uses:

1. Moves the Blood, Promotes Healing:
-all used internally and topically to heal Wounds, Trauma, Bruises, Fractures, Hernias etc.

Main Combinations:

Several of the ‘Consolida‘ are often combined with other Wound herbs.
