Function:
Clear Heat and Damp, relieves Inflammation and Pain
Use:
1. Gout;
2. Heat-type Arthritis and Rheumatism
Dose:
Give a dram every morning fasting in a cup of water and wine, broth, or tea, fasting one and a half hours after. Continue for 3 months without interruption. Then reduce the dose 1⁄4 for another 3 months; afterwards, give 1⁄2 dram for another 7 more months. After this, take 1⁄2 dram every 2nd morning.

This was assured to work, but slowly, so needs to be taken for at least 1 year.
