Preparation:
Powder
Function:
Clears Cold Phlegm, Stops Cough and Wheezing, strengthens the Lungs
Use:
1. Cough
2. Wheezing
3. Shortness of Breath.
4. Also very good for Cold and Weak Stomach with excess Phlegm.
5. It is good for those ‘that are subject to a Consumption’.
Dose:
1⁄2–1 dram

This was not used nearly as commonly as its counterpart, the Cooling Powder of Tragacanth. However, it is a well composed and useful formula, especially for chronic Lung conditions.
