Preparation:
Form Troches with Purslane Water
Function:
Clears Heat, Clears Liver Heat
Use:
1. Liver Fever, Fever from Bile; Burning Fever
2. Liver Heat: Headache, Irritability, Red Eyes etc.
3. Jaundice
4. Catarrh with excess Heat
5. Heat-type Cough
6. Hectic Fever
7. Consumption
8. Spitting Blood from excess Heat
Dose:
1 1⁄2–3 drams
Cautions:
None noted
Modifications:
The formula will stand without Ivory; Pearl powder or Mother-of-Pearl could be used in place, or Tabasheer can be increased in dosage.
They are combined with Diarrhodon Abbatis or Troches of Spodium for numerous uses.
